MAIN PRINCIPLES OF THE FREEMASONRY
From a religious point of view, the Freemasonry postulates the existence of a supreme being named G.A.D.U., in accordance with what the item 19 provides of the “ Constitution of the Freemasons” which says that an L.M must believe in the existence OF God as G.A.D.U. In this regards the Anderson comment: a Freemason has the duty, by reason of his title, of obey to the moral law, and if he well-understood the art, he will never be a stupid atheist, nor a libertine without religion. In the ancient times the Freemasons were forced to confess the religion of their state or nation in every country, anything was; but today leave they themselves the particular opinions; is about more of forced only them to follow the religion on which all men agree: it consist in being goods, true, modest and people of honour whatever the creed that distinguishes them.
From a political point of view, the Freemasonry has not prejudicial of sort not being a political association it has not reason to drive back the people asked for be a member. However , feeling of have to kept highly consideration the singles worth of the human spirit, it demands the assurance of not be a member of movement that proves in odds with this principle. The love for the country and the respect of laws of the state are guaranty of a straight forward Masonic spirit.
From a social point of view ,the Freemasonry doesn’t’ t conceive as purpose to yourself the acquisition of the main virtues that are the pillars of his order, but it behaves with the transformation, the removal and the individual ascent of its members, in order to rise the way which it lives: that of the family, of society, of homeland and the humanity know that, since the ancient times the effort of masters aimed at do the worldwide a ideal family where must reign the spirit of freedom, of equality, of brotherhood. The Masonic moral is not neither Christian nor Jewish nor Muslim.
The Freemasonry declares certain principles, on which moralists of all countries and of all religions agree and it tries to harmonize the opinions that sometimes they are mixed only in appearance.
The uniform: “ Freedom, Equality, Brotherhood” is nor for the Freemasonry the expression of a political theory, but only of a philosophical principle, working it only in the field of ideas.
The Freemasonry doesn’t’ t ignore, indeed remind its members, that the freedom of everybody find a limit in the freedom of others and it these two freedoms are contrasting, the interest for the individual must give by an interest in community. However it considers its duty report and unmask every act undermines at the individual freedom and at the spiritual freedom.
The equality means that the eyes of the Freemasonry men don’ t distinguishable, from each other, for their moral qualities. The brotherhood leads men to consider themselves citizens of the worlds, to see in the universe a single nation of brothers and in the humanity a one big family.
